My Teaching Experience
I have an enjoyable 7 years teaching at Bukit Panjang Government High School
(yes... NIE cert ). Although being trained to teach Mathematics and Physics, I have been teaching physics ever since the 1st year after joining the school.
In the 2nd year of my teaching career, i had my first batch of physics graduating classes. There are 4 classes.
That was one of the most stressful time of my entire teaching career as it is a "do or die" situation.
Luckily the physics results that year improved. I am teaching sec 3 and sec 4 physics ever since.
I have also taught students from Normal Technical and Normal Academic streams.
My Normal academic stream in 2004 had a 50% distinction in their O level combined science results.
All and all, it has been a fabulous teaching experience.
My CCA
Since joining the school, I have been actively involved in the school's science and technology team
as the overall-in-charge. The team has won numerous awards (refer to the school website) through the hardwork from the students and other teachers in charge.
My role is purely a motivator, pace-setter and "ta-bao"er (buy) lunch and dinner for them. :P.
The school offered the post of a subject head to be in charge of the school's science enrichment.
However I think my passion is still in the teaching of Physics.
